Ok, have been a bit haphazard with the detox using the energy patches. But 1 August marks the start of using the lifewave weightloss patches. Stay tuned…

Ooops! Just found out…
That we were using the wrong patches for our detox. We had been using the Y-Age anti-aging patches which alternated between Glutathione and Carnosine for a week, but we should have been using the energy enhancer patches!
So we are back to square one today.
Today I patched myself in the Lung position as suggested by the brochure. And Glen just put the energy one on his breastbone – he seems to have a LOT more energy than I do…
Will keep going for a week and then start the weight loss patches.
On a side point, I am getting much stronger with my pilates, doing a move last night with ease that 2 weeks ago was impossible!
Yay!

Today was better…
Only 2.5 coffees, toast with cheese on for breakfast, shrimp and vegie wonton for dinner, and strawberries & banana & yoghurt for dessert. I also put the Carnosine patch on this morning as part of the “detox” regime.
On the box it says that Carnosine~
- repairs cell damage
- increases muscle strength
- protects DNA
- accelerates would healing
- helps protect the brain (memory??)
AND is part of a detox!
Still haven’t watched the DVD, but…
Glen’s waist measurement today is 104cm (41 inches) and mine is 105cm! I might stick to inches as it is 41 inches too!
Oh, and I walked for about an hour today. Pilates tomorrow.
Cheers,
Tracy

Our LifeWave Patches Arrived!
OK, so before I get into the box of “goodies”, I’ll just let you know that I am entering this trial with an open mind. Whilst waiting for the patches to arrive, I tried to do some research on the Internet to find out how the patches actually work – all I got were websites that regurgitated the company line information and websites that proclaimed that the patches were a scam! But as I mentioned before, I’m ready to give it a try.
And not a moment too soon! I got weighed at Pilates yesterday and I was 119.1kg! I know I can blame hormones…
I was told that for maximum results, to “detox” first using the Y-Age patches. So Glen and I both started with that today. We placed the glutathione patch on the recommended ‘Wednesday’ position, and tomorrow we will place the cartosine patch on. Six days before we start using the weight-loss patches. That’s probably good, as the weight-loss patches came with their own DVD to watch and learn! I’ll report on that once I’ve seen it.
They say that you need to stay well hydrated when you use the patches. I think I may have already failed on the first day! I’ve had 4 coffees and one too many chocolate biscuits! Could account for the weight gain… But yummy vegie soup every night for dinner!
Back on track tomorrow.
Cheers!

Just got back from my pilates class…
and my instructor stood me on the scales – 118.5kg (ouch!)
And she gave me extra exercises to do in between classes – better do them.
Still no patches yet, diet was ruined a little bit because I went to the theatre on Saturday night to see “Wicked” – thoroughly enjoyed it, but also had a choc top, and dinner out.
And also had schnitzeled mushrooms for dinner Sunday night when I had my mum over so that my partner could learn how to make schnitzel.
Ok, better go for a walk now!
Bye!

Ready to give anything a go!
Hi Everyone!
I just came across a relatively new product for advanced wellbeing called LifeWave Patches, and my partner and I have decided to give them a go to help us lose weight – hence the relatively obscure blog title that is related more to the product rather than surfing (sorry if you came here looking for hints about surfing – however… there is another patch that is aimed at athletes to improve their energy so if you are interested in that, or have used it [it is waterproof I believe] please comment or subscribe!) Phew, that was a long meandering thought! So where was I…
That’s right, just 2 days ago we were introduced to this new product – it’s pretty new-ish to Australia, been around for about 4 years in the States) and we thought, why not? It is not a dietry supplement, or a meal replacement, it has something to do with accupressure points, but I’ll know more about the HOW once I get the patches and then I’ll be able to tell you more.
I’ve only been able to find good things on the web so far, so I am curious to see how it works for us.
Before the patches arrive, I thought I would start documenting our current habits so that we can accurately track our progress. I just re-started pilates this week and my instructor took my measurements to track my progress with pilates, so I also have her as an independant cross-reference check.
I think I will subscribe to Dr. Oz’s main measurement, so I will put in waist measurements and weight measurements.
So, our current regime is
- we try to walk at least 30mins a day
- we try to eat well – breakfast is muesli and banana and yoghurt, dinner is generally vege soup (I’m a vegetarian but my partner is not) and some protein dish at lunch (chicken, beans – that’s what I’m having right now!)
- we love to have a leisurely brunch once a week at our favourite haunts in North Melbourne
- and I take 2 studio pilates classes a week
I guess that we can do more, but we also have (like you and everyone else) a busy life managing our businesses and often the old habits kick back in.
I guess we are ready to give anything a go!
Stay tuned for more updates and to follow our journey, just subscribe via RSS or email : )
Cheers,
Tracy
